Currently, as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Oklahoma, I am conducting research to delineate the impact of the North American fur trade on the furbearer species. Other than research, I engaged in outreach activities, such as "Skype a Scientist" initiative and contribute to science communication through various platforms.
About
My research interests lie in population ecology, landscape genetics, ancient DNA, and bioinformatics. My scientific journey began with an intense curiosity about wildlfie, leading me to conduct research in diverse ecosystems and on various species. I completed my PhD in Wildlife Science from the Wildlife Institute of India, focusing on the impact of habitat fragmentation on large carnivores in Maharashtra, provided valuable insights into the connectivity and population dynamics.
